With the approval of the IAD Executive Board, IAD President Corey Axelrod submitted another letter to the Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC) today. The letter was addressed to IDHHC Chairperson Theresa Fuller-Sakolsky and identified the various areas of concern the IAD has with the management and oversight of the IDHHC.

In the letter, President Axelrod shares “… by not enforcing your powers and holding the director and his team accountable for the goals and objectives set forth by the commission, you leave deaf and hard of hearing citizens vulnerable to the unacceptable egregious behaviors at IDHHC.”

It’s time to eradicate the status quo, let’s make sure the community is heard!
