The Illinois Association of the Deaf (IAD) received a letter from the Director of the Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC), John Miller, on Tuesday afternoon in regards to IDHHC’s involvement with the Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD).
Earlier today, IAD sent a lengthy letter in response to the numerous excuses the IDHHC used in their letter and asked Director Miller to retract erroneous messages distributed by the IDHHC, to take accountability for their inactions and, for once, to collaborate with the Deaf community.
