Earlier this week, we released a VLOG featuring Igor Zapadinsky, a parent of three deaf children. During this VLOG, Igor shared his concerns about the Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC) not taking corrective action to improve Deaf Education in Illinois.
Today, we’re releasing a VLOG featuring a co-chair of the Illinois Association (IAD) of the Deaf Education Strategy Team (EST), Christy Pean. Christy shares the IDHHC has neglected numerous concerns expressed by members of the community and has not addressed many of the recommendations made by a task force on Deaf Education eight years ago.
